Samsung 3-Door French Door Family Hub Refrigerator : a Review

DISCLOSURE: This blog is sponsored by Samsung, but the opinions expressed in the blog are my own.

So we recently finished our attic project and Billy, that tech-loving husband of mine, was looking for a new toy because anyone who spends four months cooped up in an attic deserves exactly that. He’s been itching to own the Samsung Family Hub refrigerator because it can hook up to all of his other Samsung toys (think Cube Air Purifier, Frame TV, etc.), but it can really do everything for you short of boil the water on your stove. I, on the other hand, care pretty much only about how pretty a fridge is and if it can keep my food cold. We were in luck when it came to the Samsung Family Hub fridge because it ticked all of our boxes (and I’m not sure there is any other fridge out there that can say the same).

We were both excited to get our hands on the fridge because of its sleek, modern design, and all of the fun gadgets, but we were extra impressed when the fridge actually arrived in our kitchen. It did everything we expected and much, much more. In fact, the list of what it does is simply too long to even cover here so I am going to break this blog down to my five favorite things about the Samsung Family Hub refrigerator:

I FINALLY HAVE TIME TO COOK MEALS

What does a fridge have to do with time management, you ask? Well, not only can it order your groceries for you through Amazon Prime, it can scan your fridge to see what is expired and what you need. But the best feature of all is the recipe app on the fridge that holds a host of incredible recipes. You can sift through for inspiration, and when one strikes your fancy all you have to do is press a button and THE FRIDGE ORDERS YOUR GROCERIES FOR YOU. Then, after this incredibly smart robot fridge has your groceries delivered, it will also act as a sous chef and talk you through your recipe so you can cook quickly and accurately.

IT ACTS AS A BABYSITTER IN THE MOMENTS I NEED IT MOST

My kids always want to be in the kitchen while I’m cooking, cleaning or working, but never in that helpful “I wanna help you cook” way or anything, but more like the “Mom! I need this! Mom! I need you! Mom I need that!” sort of way. Now that we have the Samsung Family Hub refrigerator, we play the YouTube app and lay out the yoga mat so they can get a Cosmic Kids yoga sesh in while I cook. Or we pull up the whiteboard so they can create some pretty incredible artworks together (for some reason they find this WAY more entertaining than a regular old marker and paper). And if they really need to just chill out while I’m getting stuff done in the kitchen, we pull up an episode of Sesame Street or Paw Patrol on the screen.

IT IS REALLY PRETTY

I told you that I care most if my fridge looks good (hey, at least I admit that), and the Samsung Three-Door French Door Family Hub refrigerator is the prettiest fridge I ever did see. The black stainless steel finish fits in perfectly with my black and white kitchen, and the lighting on both the inside and the outside of the fridge always puts me in a good mood (something about that blue light always makes me happy).

IT FITS A TON OF GROCERIES WITHOUT LOOKING HUGE

Our kitchen is very modestly sized and could never host one of those enormous fridges, but most standard size fridges can hardly hold HALF of our grub from a Costco run. Especially living in the midst of pandemic, where many of us are trying to grab as much as we can during each grocery run, having that extra space in the fridge has been absolutely CLUTCH. In fact, the Samsung Three-Door French Door Family Hub holds up to 33% more groceries than a fridge of a similar size.

IT READS FOR ME WHILE I MAKE MY COFFEE AND GET MY MORNING INSTAGRAM POST READY

I love listening to a good book on tape or podcast in the morning, and the fridge can play them for me while I brew my morning cup of Joe. Not only does the app play books and podcasts, it also has news apps, like CNNgo, so I can even watch the news while I do my morning routine. Another great perk is that it shows me my calendar in the morning, as well as the weather, and any other notes I may have taken, so that I can start my day off organized.

Really, I could talk about this fridge for a week straight. I’m pretty sure I’ve done that, actually, because my mom isn’t picking up my phone calls anymore. So I will stop before I overload you with my enthusiasm for the Samsung Three-Door French Door Family Hub fridge, and will simply say that I am confident there isn’t a cooler fridge on the market.

And, as always, if you have any questions at all, be sure to send them my way!

Xo,
