I’ve been working with Serena & Lily for a few months now, and I have yet to be even mildly disappointed in anything that comes my way from them. They’ve long been a favorite brand of mine, and the quality of every product they carry is just top-notch. In twenty, thirty, forty years, it will be brands like Serena & Lily that will stand the test of time, and will be picked up with future vintage-slingers. But, until now, I had never bought their bedding.
One of my best friends from college has been telling me to buy their bedding for years. I’m going to be honest, the price point was always a little high for my comfort. But then I stopped to think about all of the Target sheets I’ve bought over the years that have been threadbare within six months. I liked the idea of investing in some high quality sheets that will last for years. That also feels like a win for the environment since high quality sheets would lead to less waste.

Suffice it to say, I’m really really glad I made that choice! I went with the Serena & Lily Positano Linen Sheets and I couldn’t be happier. They are so incredibly soft and Billy is beyond excited that he finally doesn’t sweat at night. I think people are sometimes surprised by my bedding choices because they tend to be simple. I love mixing patterns, but the bedroom is one place I like to pare back on loud prints. A bedroom is somewhere to relax, unwind and, well SLEEP, and I personally think those things are best accomplished with a “less is more” approach.
That said, it’s just not in my bones to make a room overly simplified. That’s what I love most about the Positano bedding set from Serena & Lily: it’s simple, but comes in many colors to keep things spicy. I liked the idea of having some contrast, so I went with the sheet in Flax, and then did the duvet cover and the shams in Terracotta. It offers just enough contrast and color to keep things interesting, but falls short of overwhelming the senses.
It took me a long time to choose the Positano Bedding Bundle though because Serena & Lily has LOADS of gorgeous bedding options. I’m big on mixing and matching, too, so I couldn’t stop thinking of all the fun sheet and duvet mixes that could be had. That was another reason why I went with a solid duvet cover. The solid Terracotta will allow me to play with so many different Serena & Lily sheet combinations. And that’s a good thing because my S&L bedding obsession is just beginning!
