Last week I had the pleasure of hosting my first-ever Zoom party with Caldrea and it was a blast. We started out the party with a delicious juniper mint mocktail in hand as we learned about the brand and their limited-edition scent, Juniper Laurel Mint. From there I wrapped some Caldrea products in eco-friendly furoshiki wrapping, while giving our guests tips and tricks on this style of wrapping. One thing I love about furoshiki wrapping is you can reuse household items, such as thrifted dish towels, fabrics, or even old clothes to do the furoshiki wrapping. We topped off the wrapping with just a simple sprig of berries.

After the furoshiki gift wrapping, I walked our guests through a centerpiece tutorial, which included tips to make a cheap, easy and eco-friendly centerpiece. We started with a thrifted garbage can and spray painted it gold for a pop of color. Other old household items that make great vessels without breaking the bank are mason jars, old wine or sparkling water bottles, pitchers, and soup cans. We then took some greenery and berries from the yard (eucalyptus, cedar, boxwood, olive branch, and fir are all great holiday greens to work with!) to arrange them asymmetrically in the container. The key here is varying the heights of the greenery for an organic and sensational look. We finished it off with a twine and a sprig of berries, too. Simple, yet within twenty minutes, we had a beautiful holiday centerpiece.
It’s been about a year now that I have been aggressively addicted to Caldrea products. It was last December that the Marketing Team from Caldrea reached out to me to ask if I’d like to collaborate with them. I’m always excited to try out new household products, and the fact that Caldrea was a woman-founded business using plant-derived and other thoughtfully chosen ingredients sounded right up my alley. What I didn’t expect, however, was just how good they would be.

I remember first opening the box last year and being impressed with the branding and the presentation. My first thought was, “wow, this would make such a beautiful gift for the holidays, especially for a host… or my mom..or my best friend. Okay, it’s a pretty perfect gift for just about anyone.” In my mind, the best gifts are ones that are extra luxurious and not things that you would necessarily buy yourself. The thing about Caldrea products is they do feel extra luxurious, but they aren’t unaffordable. While they are priced slightly above an average-priced cleaning product, the quality is far from average. And if the pandemic has taught me anything, it’s that those small little luxuries can really go a long way. The fact that the recipient of a Caldrea gift can continue to purchase Caldrea products as a little gift to themself feels like an extra win.

What’s my favorite scent, you ask? Well, that’s really not easy to answer. I love certain scents for certain moments, which leads me to another favorite thing about Caldrea. Some are fruity and summery and will make you want to spray them and use them everywhere all summer long, while other woodsy scents are perfect for a snowy winter day. Sea Salt Neroli is a favorite all year-long, while Pear Blossom Agave is a spring favorite. As mentioned previously, Caldrea is currently carrying their limited edition scent, Juniper Laurel Mint, and I didn’t think it was even possible, but it is truly rivaling my longtime winter love, Gilded Balsam Birch. If there is a scent you just fall head-over-heels for, Caldrea also sells sets of certain scents. And if you’re a maximalism lover like myself, you’re going to love their colorful branding and delectable mix of unexpected scents.

The best news is that Caldrea sells a product for nearly every household use. Their linen and room spray can be used on any soft fabric or surface, but also as a room spray (duh). I keep extra of said room spray in the kids’ bathroom because, well, I don’t think any explanation is needed. Caldrea’s laundry detergents keep your clothes smelling fresh AF, while their countertop sprays make you want to clean your counters constantly. The candles and the countertop spray are my two favorite products because I use them both nearly all day long. The candles I burn almost daily while I work, and I find the scents make me almost happy to be tapping at my keyboard all day. The countertop spray I use even when my counters are clean. “That’s crazy!” You say? Well, just buy it and I guarantee you’ll start doing that, too (tell your roommates/family they can thank me later).
What else can be said about my favorite household product line? Well, I guess I would just advise you to purchase them with caution because you might start cleaning and doing laundry way more often.
I’m still not sure if that’s a good or a bad thing, but I do know that you’ll be DMing me next week to tell me your favorite scent. For the record, most of your DMs tell me it’s Sea Salt Neroli.
Here’s to a very happy Holiday season filled with lots of extra (but deliciously scented) cleaning! Click here to check out all of Caldrea’s offerings.
